Title: heater size
Post by: GoMangoBoys on January 31, 2021, 05:14:05 AM
I am putting together an order from Detroit Muscle for gaskets etc and I want to buy the rebuild kit for our heater box.  They show a rebuild kit for a standard heater and a "big" heater.  Not sure which one I need.  The pictures are our heater box.
Thanks.

Do you have the links to the kits? Is it maybe the number of gaskets and not the size of the heater? I'm guessing that the "big" kit might have more gaskets? Maybe it includes the firewall gaskets or something?

The only difference in the e-bodies heater kits should be AC vs non AC.  The standard vs big kits should just be the number of gaskets and they do that because some people buy firewall gasket kits that contain some of the same gaskets so it's a way to not have to buy duplicates if the same gaskets.

Thanks.  I see now that the only difference is that the "big" kit includes stuff that the standard kit doesn't.
