Hi all, I don't have this bracket for both sides.
Question : Is it needed? If so where can I get 2

Yes, it attaches to the grill.
They come up for sale.
71 is different from 70. Not sure what year you need. 71s are harder to find.

Interesting, I never knew there was a difference between 70 and 71, how do you tell them apart ?

I know they are not reproduced....yet....

They help support the headlights, so it would be a good idea to have them in place :alan2cents:

It is a support bracket for the front of each fender - head light bucket on both sides. Note pics of my front end dis-assembling;

Those brackets could easily be made. I would say you definitely want something there supporting the headlight buckets. Make something now and look for some original brackets later.
