Title: AAR Fast Ratio Pitman Arm
Post by: Car-nutt on May 24, 2017, 06:24:03 PM
Hello everyone, I am starting my restoration on my 70 AAR Cuda (its pretty ruff), it has manual steering. Should manual steering come with a fast ratio pitman arm?

I think that was a Power Steering only option, right?  Manual is 24:1, Power Steering is 16:1 and Fast Ratio Power Steering is 12:1.   :alan2cents:

I have noticed that companies like PST and Firm Feel for example offer a manual steering box in a fast ratio 16:1. I have considered this option  when it  comes time to rebuild the front end. I assume the swap out the worm gear and you would use the standard ratio arms. it has to be an improvement and more fun.

:iagree:  I too prefer to upgrade the guts and go with a better ratio when I have them rebuilt.
