Title: another hole plug
Post by: Rbob on March 19, 2021, 10:00:11 AM
I replaced my trunk floor, my question is the Orange Trunk Shock Plugs, mine are smaller than the hole so I ordered a larger one but what about the hole below this plug, it is open from the bottom does anything go there?

Pic of old one and pic of 1971 larger plug:

The metal one your red arrow is pointing to is NOT a shock tower plug. It is a floor plug from inside the car found only(mainly) on AAR's and TAs.

FWIW, the Dynacorn trunk/rear seat panel has that metal plug too. I don't recall it being there on my car's original piece.
