Title: new radiator.
Post by: 1970 FM3 Cuda on March 22, 2021, 09:32:35 AM
Looking to buy a new radiator for my 1970 340 Cuda' automatic. Looking at purchasing it from Glen -ray Radiators? or any other suggested vendors? I need the part number that should be on top of my radiator, does anyone know what that part number is? Car was built 4-1970 la. I am also looking for the correct fan shroud if anyone has a location to purchase of these.
Thanks

Fan shroud is available at your local Chrysler. Glen-Ray in the best and he will tell you the number you need and can likely sell you the shroud as well

2998949 I believe is the rad number

I got my radiator from Glen Ray. It's top notch, you can count on getting the quality that you're paying for.

The most likely radiator part number is 2998 974. It could also be 2998 949. *The stamping on the radiator has a small space after 2998.

2998949   1970   B E   26"   318 340   Both   Both   With N5
2998974   1970   E   26"   340+T/A   Both   Heater   Trans Am

If you have your broadcast sheet (build sheet), Line 3 under RAD will have two digits denoting the last two digits of your original radiator. In this case, it will likely be 74 which would be the 2998974 radiator.
