Title: Front Turn Signal Light Disassembly
Post by: 340Challman on April 04, 2021, 08:19:42 AM
Hey Guys,
I need to disassemble my front turn signal lights for restoration. I see how they come apart, just wanted to know how others have done it? I don't want to damage the aluminum housing. Is there a tool/did you make a tool for peeling up the tabs? Thanks.

What's your plan for restoration ? Why take it apart ?

Hi Alan, I was hoping that new pigtails would be available, but if not I would reuse mine. Wanted to get them separated so that I could bead blast the housings, repaint the inside and clear the entire assembly to minimize oxidation. I believe the bulb socket is plated and wanted to reproduce that as well.
