Title: Quarter glass Channel / Trim removal and install
Post by: Rbob on April 05, 2021, 04:19:20 PM
Anybody have suggestions for removing this trim?  I tried a block of wood and hammer, maybe a bigger hammer?

Undo the stainless at the bottom and pry off from the bottom up....

I removed the 2 screws at the bottom, I will try prying it off tomorrow.

Thank you! :fingerscrossed:

I use lacquer thinner to soften up the tape and get a razor blade to dig out some of it too.

I removed this morning, super easy with a little help from a heat gun.  Once heated it pulled off and no hammer or block needed.  The lower section I pulled off without heat as it was a little loose.

Pretty sure I have to use a hammer and block of wood to install.

I ordered glass sealing tape to reinstall glass into the channels, not knowing how to install I searched and found some cool instructional videos, thought I would share:
