Title: Mopar 383 intake gasket replacement

Hi everyone

Never done one but I bought the fel pro 1215 kit

What do I need ? What's the recommended procedure ?

It's pretty straight forward.  Intake comes off the Valley tray stays behind.   It's held down by the bars at the front and rear of the block.  I typically use RTV between the head and tray then the paper gaskets between the tray and intake.

If you don't have the tray I'd buy a new one.  Make sure it's for the low deck block and not the RB block. They can sometimes crack or severely deform when removing them.

I see two problems
the 1215 is for the RB 440 , you need the 1214 for the 383 .

I use the paper gaskets between the pan & head to prevent oils leaks instead of above  , silicone in the corners of the pan between where the block & heads meet .
