Can a dash pad be installed in the car with dash assembly and front windshield still installed? Can you install just the pad without pulling dash assembly or windshield out, I think you can has any one did this before?
Yes, takes a lot of patience and time. Glove box, ashtray and instruments all have to come out as well :alan2cents:
thanks , that what I thought.
thanks
You might find this useful when putting the dash back in with the windshield in place....

thank you .
You wont need that if you are just removing the pad.
The steel dash frame is held by those 4, close to windshield bolts, and doesn't affect the pad only removal.
I've done it both ways and here's a good picture provided by member Jaybee of the 11 studs located on the pad.
I did it on a 71 vert, but it's been 35 years now. I just know it was do-able.
I also did it on a 71 Convertible by myself it is do able. I did it by myself but it had to have been 25 years ago and it still looks good.
I believe I removed the front bucket seats when I removed and installed my dashpad in my 71. Made it easier to lay there working under the dash.
