I have seen door panels with lower carpeting and reflector as seen on 70 SE cars on 71 Challengers as well.
Is there a specific option for these?
Was it standard on R/T cars?
Any other criteria for them ( i.e. included in a group code )?
For '71, AFAIK they were standard equipment when the cloth & vinyl seats were ordered. The ones with the plaid inserts.
Possibly with the A78 formal roof option as well, but my memory is a bit hazy this morning.
That makes complete sense to me YYZ, thanks.
I had a 70 R/T SE that had them.
And have a 71 R/T with A78 that has them.
Was recently looking at 2 71 's and one had them and one didn't and seats were vinyl.
Turns out one of them was supposed to have the inserts to match the carpeted panels.
Do 71 leather seat cars get the door carpeting too?

It would make sense that they came with leather seats, as both they and the plaid are upgrades from the standard vinyl, however, I have not seen enough original '71 Challengers with leather to be certain.
Can anyone else on the board confirm?
The ~1900 mile unrestored 71 Hemi Challenger, with leather seats and black interior appears to have the carpeted door panels-
