What's the difference in a 70 Challenger and 71-74 speaker grille? Will a 71-74 work in a 70?

My understanding is that the 70 speaker grill uses shorter post on the back side compared to longer ones used in 71-74.   If you purchase the reproduction grills, you can cut the post to work on a 70.
