Title: fusible link
Post by: cuda hunter on October 31, 2021, 06:59:41 PM
I burnt up a 3. 50 MM 12 gauge fusible link when I hooked my battery up backwards.
I'm wondering if the fuse holder link wires are better than the burnable link wires.
Now this isn't something I plan on repeating often but a fuse could be an easier process of replacement.  .

Opinions please?

I've always thought a marine circuit breaker would be the way to go..
What size would be the question...

I agree. Use a fuse or resettable breaker.

I have a marine mechanic friend.  I'll have to ask him for his opinion.
