Title: Brake booster question
Post by: exile5700 on December 09, 2021, 09:55:15 AM
Hello looking for suggestions on where to have my 73 Challenger Break booster rebuilt that i will get it back in less than 3 months? Ram Man turned out not so well, never heard back from them or got a new system even though i had paid for it. Had Pay Pal get my money back. So looking for someone else to send my old one to, to be rebuilt. Thank you for any leads.!

"Brake" as in stop, not "break" as in fracture, crack etc... Just FYI

The rammer man is at it again I see. I wish people everyone knew about this guy. Somehow he manages to keep doing this. I've heard bad news about Booster Dewey lately though. Evidently, he retired and sold out to someone, maybe even one of his workers. I had a friend send him a 69 Bendix booster and it just did not look right to him. He found another guy online and called him on the east coast. He makes lots of parts for the Bendix and supplies them to Dewey. In his words" those guys usually do a good job". After he looked inside, he was surprised at all the bad parts inside and had to completely rebuild it. He's been doing them for a long time.

I ran across these guys, no personal experience but it appears they can turn around Midland Ross boosters in relatively short order. https://harmonclassicbrakes.com/

Pricey compared to Booster Dewey  :alan2cents:

Is there a way to just get the parts to rebuild with? I would attempt that myself if so.

A bit pricey, but not looking like there are many options out there. Ram Man was 525. so not much more.

Yes... Same outfit sales kits... https://www.parts123.com/parts123/yb.dll?parta~partsort~1~cadfffkz~~20
I would call before ordering but this appears to be their major kit for the Midland Ross used on the '73s
