Hi enthusiasts, I know this has been asked before but I'm getting a new cover for my '70 Challenger.
This is my birthday gift from my wonderful wife. She's asking how big a cover do I order and what are the dimensions for my Dodge. I told her I've seen an answer on the forum in the past but unsure how to pull it up. Thanks for the help appreciate all if any. Al
The major car cover companies design their covers for specific models, so you don't need to determine dimensions.
Just go on their site and order a cover for a 70 Challenger and your good.
I have California Car Covers on my 3 Challengers and they fit like gloves.
I needed a cover for my recent 78 Magnum purchase and even with Black Friday discounts, the California Car Cover was really expensive, over $300. So I shopped around and found good reviews on CoverCraft car covers, and with the Black Friday discount it was $200 and change.
It too fits my Magnum like a glove even the side mirror pockets are perfectly placed. :bigthumb:
Hey Al - cool present!
The covers I've seen are custom fit to the car based on make, model and a few other details. Here's one example:

I don't have mirror pockets on mine and it still fits fine.
Unfortunately, there's no discount available to you based on having a little extra space under the hood. :Stirring: :)
Yea..I think the "lower" brands are sold by size...14'-16' , 16' - 18' etc.... I think it's worth the extra $$$ to step up to one of those "custom-fit" covers mentioned above. :alan2cents:
