maybe this has been disscused at length, but what is involved with switching over to a rallye dash?
can i keep my dash frame?
i know there's a wiring kit for harness.
what else?
Light bar is different.
thats it? i don't have to do anything to dash frame?
Same dash frame.
Dash frame is the same. As mentioned, you will need the light bar with 4 lights, as well as a different heater control panel.
Trim piece at the bottom is different as well. Not sure what you call it. And you already know the wiring is different. And I might be missing a few other small details. But for the most part it bolts right in.
If you're going to make the switch, go with Dakota Digital

Why is different heater control panel needed ?
The standard gauge speedometer is a larger diameter and dips down into the heater control panel.
Picture is worth 1000 words.
I didn't buy a "kit" when I converted mine, just modified my standard harness.
1. Spliced into the oil light wire to add a connector for the rallye oil gauge.
You'll need a rallye oil sending unit too.
2. Ran a wire from the coil to the tach
Sorry, don't remember where I stole power for the tach.
kinda seems easy, except for buying gauges.
everything is available.
great!
