Title: 1970 Challenger Front Seats
Post by: Blowout on March 24, 2022, 08:08:43 AM
Hi Guys,

I was looking at a pair of front seats locally for my 70 Challenger.  Wanted to make sure everything about them is showing they are for a 70, since I'm new to this.  Do they look right?

Thank you!

NO...those are 1973-74 seats with 1970 appearing covers on them   the backs of them likely look like a home made butchered mess.

Bucket seat hinge covers look like a 72 and later style.

And I agree with Alan. I'd love to see how they attached the hard backs onto those seats.

Here's a set of 70-71 seat backs. Notice the "arms" in the hinge area. I don't see them on those seat backs.

Yea...like I said, they just cut-off the hinge cover section... :looney:  I guess it's better then trying to sew in a vinyl patch section, which is what I was expecting to see...

That does seem like alot for seats with no tracks and used seat covers. Plus, they look like they may be missing the hinge latch release buttons. You will have to invest hundreds more for the complete 70 seats if you get these unless you have the tracks.

@anlauto (https://forum.e-bodies.org/mlist/anlauto_19) yes I agree on price. @71vert340 (https://forum.e-bodies.org/mlist/71vert340_519)  funny you say that.  Car I bought came with white seats verse black. Someone switched them out and they are either from two different cars (e and b body) or different years.   What do you guys think? Do you think these tracks could be used on future seats I find?  Doesn't have to be 70 tracks since they'll function and be hidden. But wanted 70 appearing seats.
