Title: Strut rod bushing weird looking washer. Pic included.
Post by: northerncuda2021 on April 01, 2022, 04:37:07 PM
Finally finally going other way with cuda.  Currently working on strut rods and connecting them to k member.  I have a upset washer that for some reason seems it should be there but for other reasons it doesn't.  Problem being car came in pieces and I k ow there are parts from both a 1970 cuda and a 1974 challenger.  Have new bushings going in.  Thank you.  I'm leaning towards not using washer.

Thsnks for all the help.

That does not look right. This is something you want to do once they are not easy to get to once car is together. I used moog problem solver strut rod kit. These are an updated replacement part they look a little different but so much better than the old design.

Are you using a factory service manual ? They have pictures and diagrams and installation instructions on all vehicle systems. Free in the resources section here.

:I have seen those before.  They go into the front side of the k member,  and are shims to add caster.

I thought they looked more like cab mount retainers for a pick-up truck.  :alan2cents:
