I'm getting ready to install the high pressure hose on my power steering setup.
I don't have much experience with power steering.
The steering box is a rebuilt stage 3 from Steer and Gear.
I also picked up a new low pressure return nipple and adaptor fitting for the steering box.
I used the 2 included O rings when installing the low pressure return nipple on the steering box but over the years I think I might of misplaced or mixed up what ever is needed for installing for the high pressure hose.
I have an O ring and a crush washer but both appear too big.
What do I need on the hose adaptor fitting on the steering box? O ring? crush washer? thread sealant? any idea what size?
The power steering pump is a Saginaw tombstone type.
Do I need anything for the high pressure hose connection to the rear of the power steering pump?
how about the high pressure hose to the steering box adaptor?
Thanks.
crush washer on the straight side of the fitting the other side seals tot he hose with the flare
