Title: 3/8 fuel line
Post by: dave73 on July 06, 2017, 05:39:34 AM
I'm going to upgrade my 5/16 fuel line to 3/8. I have a 440, recommendations on a mechanical fuel pump part #? Where do you guys buy your lines? Also, do I need to upgrade my sending unit to a 3/8 right away or can I run it for a little while with the 5/16 sending unit? I understand the restriction for now.

@MoparDave (https://forum.e-bodies.org/mlist/mopardave_10)  has gotten me my sending units and fuel lines.  I think the 3/8" line has a 1/4" return line too.

This might help:

I ordered a 3/8" line and sending unit from @MoparDave (https://forum.e-bodies.org/mlist/mopardave_10), and just made my 5/16" line the return.  Made it a lot easier to install.

I also switched to a electrical pump and routed the main line up the firewall to keep it away from the hot block.   :wrenching:

if you use a HP mechanical pump that will disassemble such as Holley or Carter take it apart & bore the holes inside as most are 1/4 or smaller internally
