Could someone please give me the dimensions of the correct ride hight for the 1970 Cudas. I need the dimensions from the floor to the high point of the fender openings or where ever else the measurements are take from.
Thank You. My 440 sits lower than I want in the front. I have a Molidon 7 quart oil pan that is only 2" off the ground!
Factory manuals measure ride height at the bottom of the lower ball joint and the bottom of the t-bar socket. I believe the socket should be 1.125" higher than the bottom of the ball joint.
Measuring this way eliminates any variation due to different tire aspect ratios or overall diameter differences.
If you change your ride height more than a half an inch, your alignment also changes and will need to be checked.
This is a popular fender height. :alan2cents:
What people commonly call ride height is actually not.
As said before, factory ride height specs are chassis/suspension measurements not floor to fender etc...
