Title: Is this cam still good?
Post by: blown motor on January 12, 2023, 07:28:02 AM
This cam came with my Charger when I bought it. It's an Edelbrock 7194 cam. I had the shop in town measure the lobes and these are the numbers.
330 332 324 324.5   322.5 321 335 334.5   333.5 333 319 320   319.5 322.5 331 333.5
Is this cam useable or is it junk? I don't know how much variance is acceptable.

is that the lobe front to back? as pairs? would help to know what lobes are intake and what lobes are exhaust.

330s would be exhaust, 320s would be intake.

Does the cam still have the taper it needs to rotate the lifter? Considering the price of the cam vs the pain of replacing it if there's a problem, why risk using it? Just my :alan2cents:

I wasn't going to use it. Trying to figure out if it's good and I can sell it or if it's a paperweight.
