Title: Adjusted Diaphragm clutch. Now pedal goes to floor ?
Post by: Racer57 on July 21, 2023, 12:06:37 PM
Pedal had around 1"- 1 1/4" play. Thought I would tighten it up a bit. Adjusted linkage between throw out bearing arm and Z bar. Got back into car, pushed clutch pedal and now it goes 3/4 of the way to floor.  WTF did I do and please tell me its an easy fix.

Starting with the basics.  Has the over center  spring uder dash been removed yet?
It won't work with that installed.
Otherwise,  no clue.

No spring. Now that I've calmed down, I suspect the throw out arm is no longer attached to the bearing. At least thats what I hope it is.  Too damn hot to mess with it now. Will check later.
