Title: 440 Crankshaft
Post by: Rrod on July 21, 2023, 07:55:27 PM
Building a 440 (RB) engine. Need a crankshaft. Application will be for a manual transmission. Are all RB cranks rear flange drilled to accept the input shaft of a manual tranny whether it be a 833 or TKX?

No , most are not , there is a rough hole it can be deepened & you can use the Dakota roller brg without centering the hole deeper .

Local Chrysler dealer drilled a cast crank for an input shaft and struck oil so try to find a forged crank to make your life easier. Also makes it easier to find a neutral balance flywheel.
