Title: 727 speedo cable all the same?
Post by: tparker on August 15, 2023, 01:04:30 PM
I have a '66 D100 Dodge Truck and the speedo isn't working. I took a quick look to see if the cable was even there and it is and seems to be connected just fine. But the plate that holds it in the tranny is different than my Challenger 727. I was curious if the cables were basically the same (except for maybe the length), in case it needs to be replaced. Does any one know?

Thanks
Tom

Quick check on rockauto says NO... '66 is threaded at the speedo & e-body snaps on.

@Bullitt- (https://forum.e-bodies.org/mlist/bullitt_218) Thanks. Should have checked there first. I was asking cause I was worried I wouldn't be able to find one if I needed one and they were different.

thanks
