Title: Accessory wire connector
Post by: tparker on September 17, 2023, 07:31:45 PM
I'm looking to connect to one of the accessory feed wires but not sure how to get one of the connectors. Not sure what they are called and I couldn't find any easily. They are the round bullet style connectors. Anyone know what they are called or where to get one? Doesn't matter if it has the wire attached or is just the connector itself.

I think I'm have some extras tucked away in a box in the garage.   I'll check later this morning. If I have them and no one else responds, I'd be happy to send them to you.

I seem to recall I had to replace one of those and had a bit of a time to find a bullet connector to fit tightly. I might even have reused it.

Why not use the acc on the fuse box? - standard spade connector should work

You can use the larger style bullet available today (0.180 I think) with some slight modification. Find the seam that runs along the connector and lightly crimp down one half so the edges can overlap instead of butting together. When inserted into the plug the bullet can now compress to the needed diameter.

Another option is to reach out to Tommy at Partshound and see if he has any to sell. I bought a couple off of him a couple years ago. He has a company make them for him with a wire attached.

Post a picture of the connector that you are looking for and I will see if I have one.

@moparroy (https://forum.e-bodies.org/mlist/moparroy_8815) That was my first thought and while I was thinking what I needed to due to add the wire to the fuse box I remembered there are a few accessory connectors that already exist, just need the connector.

@Skdmark (https://forum.e-bodies.org/mlist/skdmark_284) I was curious if it was the same or not.

@Daveh (https://forum.e-bodies.org/mlist/daveh_72) and @Dakota (https://forum.e-bodies.org/mlist/dakota_973) If you have one or two that would be great. Not sure If I also need one for the radio now that I think about it.
