Title: Install Go wing on a 70 Challenger
Post by: CHL2T on December 10, 2023, 02:21:21 PM
I seem to recall that to properly install a go wing, I need to pinch it between the layers of the deck lid, then put jam nuts where it meets the under side of the brackets, then finally put the nuts onto the trunk side of the brackets all to keep the wing from pulling the decklid down and distorting it.
Am I correct in this thinking or am I way off?
Any help on this is greatly appreciated as I simply can't find anything online
Thanks

Don't know if this will help or not but here's some stuff I downloaded years ago.

I installed the wing over ten years ago when I didn't have the trunk brackets and just used some washers and nuts knowing that it wasn't the correct way because I didn't have the brackets. FF to today and I found a super cheap set and I am trying to remember the correct procedure for using them. I fully remember reading online somewhere the proper use but now.......nothing!
