The description says 4 speed but the picture of the dash shows a column shifted automatic.
Too bad they don't show more pictures, I wonder if the car has the rare bench front seat.

The rare and undesirable bench seat?  :)
I say yes, that's why no pictures of the interior.

If it was converted to 4 speed I am not sure if the 4 speed shifter location would even work with the bench seat?
And if it was converted, why did they leave the automatic shifter on the steering column there.
I find the E body bench seat interesting.  It's rare to see.  Not that if I could go back in time and was ordering up my dream Challenger or cuda that I would have checked that box though!
Front bench seats were actually desirable to many young guys back in the day.  With a bench seat, their girlfriend could slide over and snuggle with them while cruising in their cool new musclecar!  Not something we think about much nowadays where drivers and passengers are safely strapped into their seats while driving and the girlfriend is more likely focusing her attention on her phone than on her boyfriend!
I wonder why the bench seat wasn't an option in convertibles?  I also have wondered why cloth insert seats were not offered on convertibles, that is one option I'd have loved to have in my convertible and would have saved me some 1st degree burns.
Anyway, I digress.  The bench seat for E bodies is sort of a cool design.

My `67 Charger had the buckets with center seat cushion and fold-down armrest.
Yes, great for your girlfriend to sit close and at the drive-in.
Ask me how I know. :andyangel:
