When we finished the car last September, we felt that it kind of sat a bit low. Compared it to a few other cars at the Moparty in Bowling Green and were sure that it needed to come up a bit in the back. Talked about the options with folks on here. I chose to call the local spring shop and discuss having them "re-arched". The guy said that they could do that, but said that his experience is that re-arching the springs is not always a good long term fix. He suggested that they just add a leaf. That is what I had them do a couple days ago. It made a real difference. The new leaf brought the car up 3" in the back. It looks better and it drives better. The first picture is the before, the rest are after. $350 out the door in a few hours.
Did not see this post until now. I did the same. Disassemble and reassemble the springs at home. Need to buy new longer center bolts and spring retainers. I got my up about 1.5". What it did was increasing the rear spring rate so it is stiffer for the same load. I upgraded to adjustable shocks to tame the stiffer spring rate. Combining with larger torsion bars, factory rear sway bar and Hotchkis front sway bar, the car handles the corner well.
Wow! Very nice upgrade. :stayinlane:
Sure made the car look better with that higher stance in the rear.
Looks much better with the raised stance.
