Anyone have any tips on replacing a rimblow horn switch? I'd ask our friend up in Canada but I cannot reach him. He restored this wheel for me. Absolutely gorgeous wheel, but a nonfunctional horn takes the fun out of it.
I downloaded this years ago from I believe a guy known as plumbeeper that I think used to restore rimblow wheels.
I have done 3 of them recently and the biggest thing is to get the old glue out of the wheel. I came up with a mini die grinder disc that would fit inside the groove and would clean all that crap out. Those horn switches are very vulnerable to breaking... you end up cutting through a layer of rubber and the switch is done. was successful with 2 out 3 on my end. Pateince is really a virtue for this work. Gotta get another switch ordered !
