Title: Son's Jeep Liberty Water Pump Question
Post by: Daveh on August 07, 2017, 08:49:51 AM
Hey guys,

I need to replace my sons 2007 Jeep Liberty Water Pump and was wondering if I need to put sealant on the bolt threads like my 71 Challenger.  I don't think I need to but wanted to check to be sure.  Thanks

Dave

What engine is in it?  Did any coolant come out when you removed the bolts?

It's the 3.7L.  I haven't removed it yet just trying to get my ducks in a row before I do it.  Seems pretty easy and the couple I saw on YouTube they didn't use sealant.  But some of the bolts are longer than others.

No biggie.  I really don't think they do but I figured I would ask all the same.  Thanks

I guess it if leaks after I install it they needed sealant.   :haha:

I have no idea, my son also has a Liberty . I'd just use sealant if your not sure, couldn't hurt?
