Title: Slip yoke/u-joint play
Post by: b5cuda on October 26, 2024, 06:30:48 AM
Good morning guys, had the cuda up yesterday and noticed a bit of play in the u-joint/slip yoke junction. Just a tiny bit of movement when I shake it, both left and right where cap sits in the yoke, and in and out. Not much, just enough to say it moves. I've not noticed any consistent vibrations at road speed. U-joints are Spicer, less than 2,000 miles. Slip yoke is also new, aftermarket piece. 4-speed trans. So what's normal? Is any movement acceptable? Looking for peace of mind. Thanks in advance.

Thanks, appreciate the reply. I'll replace the slip yoke.
