Hi everybody new to the forum, I just picked up a 1971 Cuda hardtop with 383 and 727 everything seems to be original and untouched except a few minor things, the issue is that it is missing the fender tag and I have not located any build sheets, was hoping anyone has any ideas or maybe has the missing fender tag and build sheets, I have no clue the origins of the car I bought it in Northern California and has an older California plate but I am not sure if it is a true California car or has been around the country. Here is the vin if anyone wants to decode or let me know if they have the missing fender tag. I know its a long shot but thank you in advance. I will show proof of ownership if anyone has anything on it.
BS23N1B240400
BS23 I believe designates Cuda
The 'N' is the engine code: 383
The '1' is the year: 1971
Congratulations on your purchase. Hope you share some pics.
You should put your VIN in the header of your post, which would make it easier to find if someone has the tag and is ever searching online for information on it.
You might try contacting Barry Washington at the Hamtramck Registry to see if he has heard anything on the fender tag and or broadcast sheet.
