Call me psycho, but I'm looking for a used 5-bow head liner in black for a 1970 Barracuda. It can be faded, delicate, and bear a small tear or two.
It's for a survivor-driver car, and the interior is in poor shape. But it has NO headliner, and I'd like to put one in. I'm trying to save a couple of bucks, too. I just cannot stomach putting in a new one, when the interior is in such sorry shape. A new one would surely get damaged before the car was fully restored. I plan to put off bodywork and paint until much later.
I have a new black headliner that was purchased from YearOne for my 70 Cuda. The headliner was never used as my body shop, unaware that I had the headliner, purchased a duplicate headliner. I would make you a good deal on the headliner if you're interested. I also have an extra set of sail panels (for the same reason as above) if by chance you would need those. I can send photos if needed.
Gary.
Part of my motivation to putting in a used one, isn't simply trying to save a couple of bucks. It's that I'll be driving and working on the car over the next few years, and I'm pretty sure the headliner will take a hit and get damaged. Plus, I'd like it to look worn and original, if possible, during this time. A new headliner in an interior that is as bad as mine will stand out like a sore thumb.
Pictures of the headliner and sail panels that I have.
They sure look pretty.
I have one with a slight hole in it, If you would like PM me your number ill send over photos
Looks like I'll need the front upper windshield molding, too. I'll start a new thread.
