I do the alignment for my E bodies myself and on one 1973 Cuda could never get positive caster. Thought I could live with it. Turns out I can't. I occasionally felt like the car had a slight urge to wander at speeds above 40 mph. Correct or not, I blamed it on the negative caster. (-.3 deg) Finally bit the bullet and changed the upper control arm bushings to the offset kind. Now the best specs I can get are:
Toe in =1/16" each side
Camber -1 Deg each side
Caster +1.5 deg each side
Just buttoned up the car, but have not taken it for a test drive yet.
Does anybody have similar experience with the caster in the E bodies? Do you think the change out will help or am I expecting too much?
Agree they should help. I used them on my build but I'm not to the point where the alignment has been done to see where I'm at for specs.
If you find you still need or want more, switching to the tubular upper control arms would probably be the next step.
