Title: Idle Solenoid Bracket Hardware
Post by: Gary AAR on March 20, 2025, 08:10:08 AM
Anybody have (2) bolts and nuts that would hold the idle solenoid to the bracket on a 70 AAR Cuda?  The photo below from the Dave Wise book shows the hardware to be 1/4-20 by roughly 1/2 long hex head SEMS bolt with Phosphate finish (anchor stamped on bolt head).  It shows this is the bolt for 440 Six Pack, and I'm assuming it would be the same for a 340 Six Pack.  Also assume the nut would be a 1/4-20 Hex Coni Keps with Phosphate finish.

Is the above the correct bolt and nut?  Anyone have (2) of each they would sell?
Thanks.
Gary.

Sorry don't have any available but checking my E bodies, I don't use the idle solenoid on my 340-6 nor my Hemi. However, I removed the bolt on my 440-6 and attached pictures. Dimensions match Dave Wise, but the head stamp is similar but not identical. Has the same "anchor" but not in the same position. Odd.

AMK (https://www.amkproducts.com/bulk-fasteners-products/?Product_ID=13423) has one that is close but not exact. I think they have a minimum order amount.  You have to pay close attention to their 'kits' as some items have incorrect head markings and/or size.
