Hearing on the news that there's Tornadoes already.
A little early don't you think?
Been an odd year for the weather. :angry: so cold up here for weeks!
My thoughts and prayers go out to all those that are dealing with the severe weather the last couple of days. I heard 11 killed by tornado's in Ga. I think 5 in Mississippi. Were under a warning till 10 tonight. Be safe out there.
:iagree: We drove back from FL through AL on Saturday and just missed what looked like a small tornado near Andalusia, AL.

Not really. Any time you get warm moist air getting pulled up by a front that has cold, dry air, you are fixing to have some problems. It doesn't happen every year, but it does happen. Here in Central Florida, we had them come through on Feb 2 in 2007, and Feb 22 in 1998, and the 1993 "Storm of the Century" on March 12.
Glad I don't have to deal with them. Alas I understand how tornadoes form but normally Spring is when warm and cold fronts meet:
In Southern states, tornado season is typically from March to May. In the Southern Plains, it lasts from May to early June. On the Gulf Coast, tornadoes occur most often during the spring. And in the Northern Plains, Northern states and upper Midwest, peak season is in June or July.
