Title: Bellhousing identification.
Post by: Roadman on October 13, 2017, 09:18:44 AM
While I've been looking around for a bellhousing for @torredcuda (https://forum.e-bodies.org/mlist/torredcuda_122)  I tripped over this casting # chart From Roseville.     Good info.   http://www.rosevillemoparts.com/reference_castingnumbers5.php

So according to the chart, for a 73 Bbody 400, 4 speed either a 2892511 or 2892513 would work. Am i correct in assuming the difference is the front bearing retainer diameter. ?

The 513 is a common big block bell.  I've got a few around here that I can check if needed.  Not sure on the 511 bearing diameter.
