And I'm already going through Mopar withdrawl! I get to tinker in the garage, but not get out on the road! Lousy stupid snow and ice!
Yep I keep saying I need to live somewhere warmer but all my family is in Michigan . . . :bricks:
It is getting colder. I put on a sweater this morning. It dropped to 71 degrees! :Thud:
I hate the cold winters more every year but unfortunately moving south isn`t an option right now but hopefully if I am ever able to retire it will be somewhere warm.
Yup, I fired the Chally up and backed it in the driveway just to let her run, all salted up roads here in CT. So I went Skiing on Sunday to Magic Mountain in VT to passify myself. Just keep thinking about Carlisle.........
If I could go into hibernation after Thanksgiving, and not get woke up again until some time in March, I don't think I'd miss a thing.
It's been warmer than average this month, and they only put down some salt once so far. I've been trying to spend time outside, and was spending some time in the garage tinkering on the car.
Therefore I'm not complaining much, yet! Sometimes Decembers here are a complete nightmare.
I'm off work next week, but temps are supposed to plummet this weekend. I guess I'll spend a lot of time in bed, and maybe the rest of the time I'll sit in front of a space heater!
Then in January I'll check off days on my calendar wishing for April to come. :crying:
I don't know how you guys do it. I haven't really driven mine because it's been chilly [40s] in the morning. :bricks:
Braved the 60s in mine today...Socal
Yup: Not a winter guy. I even hate snowmobiles now.
Be calm, shortest day of the year is Thursday, then the days get longer! Spring is coming!! I get thru it by trying to prepare for spring now...clean, tune, wrench!! Now your time is not competing with lawn mowing or fertilizing the lawn. I usually run out of spring stuff to do about Presidents' Day, then spring is in sight...at least now you can work on stuff patiently and not feel bad your lack of wrenching is holding you off the road...2 cents

OK, that's it Sheldon, turn in your Canuck Card! My brother-in-law, who's a London, Ontario boy now in Campbell River, authoritatively tells me that BC IS God's country where they can go surfing and/or skiing the same day, so how can you get to where you hate sleds, even? Tch, tch! :Stirring:

LOL Sounds like a plan... :drinkingbud: FWIW it'll be mid 60's here tomorrow so in my world it's a little chilly but there's nothing keeping my car in the garage.....
When I want to drive the car & it's 110 out I try to get out of the valley before 9am & stay up in the hills till at least 8-9 pm... Up above 4000 ft it'll be in the 80's.... Nice!! Over at the coast mid summer it might be in the 70's or it might be fogged in & cold...

Really guys! I'd drive mine at any temperature if the roads were dry except they put salt on them in the winter.

I`ve driven mine Novermber and even into late December on the years we don`t have any early snow or ice. The past couple weeks we have had a couple small snow falls and some freezing rain so the roads are white from all the salt on them.
Here in NJ it snowed a few times last week now it's warming up into the 50s. Problem is they bombed the roads with a ridiculous amount of salt. Once the salt hits the road it goes away until the Spring rain washes the roads real good.

 Good time not to be in Canada huh?
So what's the problem? Just throw some Winter tires on the 'Cuda and enjoy it!

How old is that picture? Looks 1970's . . . :clapping:
Might be a 80s wagon behind it
1978 was the first year for the Ford Fairmont/Mercury Zephyr

It's from a private FB group, local Quebec car, probably early 80's... Whereabouts unknown, unfortunately...

And that's why most Canadian cars are rust buckets :canada: :Thud: unless your lucky to find one from an area that didn't use salt
