Title: AAR spoiler location
Post by: nsmall on February 26, 2018, 11:44:11 PM
Should the AAR spoiler be mounted at the end of the deck lid?  I think mine is to far forward.

I doubt this is what Neil wants to see.  :crying:  The good news is that it can be moved back and the existing holes will be covered by the spoiler. That only bad thing is you will be able to see it from the bottom. I would probably come up with a small grommet or push pin to fill the wrong holes.   :alan2cents:  Definitely not a end the the world problem.

Not a real AAR, but mine seems to be lined up with the back edge of the trunk lid.  As Shane said, it sucks but its not the end of the world.

Thanks folks. I just used the existing holes that were in the deck lid but didn't realize that it was wrong.   It's all good its just a driver.

I am going to correct this though as I think it does look better with that spoiler back.

Thanks again.

Neil

Thanks guys.  I am getting so close to be driving the car.   Just missing the interior at this point.   :bradsthumb:

Superdave, just go buy one, they are so cheap like everything for e-bodies.

Make sure you put some paint on the edges of the new holes you just drilled.  Don't leave them bare metal.

Probably too late, but I was going to suggest modifying the mounting brackets instead of drilling more holes. :alan2cents:

Believe it or not I didn't have to redrill the holes as the brackets were just installed incorrectly on the spoiler (my body guys fault).

So it got adjusted and it was a quick fix ....so YEAH
