Title: Convertible belt moldings
Post by: Rich G. on February 28, 2018, 10:13:13 AM
Does the molding that goes around the quarters and rear lay on top or does the one edge slide under the ends of the panels? I see the the rear molding has clips that slide onto the body. Is there a method as to the process that these 3 pieces go on. Do you put the 3 pieces together and then slide it in place and then try to bolt the side pieces on? I see things going terribly wrong! 😩

Install the rear piece first, I use the palm of my hand to tap it, I've seen guy use a rubber mallet but I like beating up my hands.. Then the two side pieces can be slid on to the center and screwed to the tops of the quarters.... The trim does overhang the quarter hiding the edge & providing good access for the boot clips to grab..  Oh, and nothings gonna go terribly wrong, it's a pretty easy operation....
