Title: What tools/processes have you invented to make your life easier or save money
Post by: Timbbuc2 on February 03, 2017, 03:11:51 PM
I will start,
When I built my shop I needed to add a ground rod at the switch box, this rod was like 8' long and my arm gets tired quick. So I took a air chisel with out the bit and drove it into the ground, the last foot had to use a hammer.
Also when I put the under ground power to my shop I had to go under a walk way. I have seen people use a power washer but that makes a mess. So I came up with the idea of using a pet anchor, you know the one that has a auger on the bottom you screw into the ground. I removed the handle and welded a 1/2" connector and to the auger. Took 1/2"x4' dia. all thread  welded another connector on the other end, then I used a 1/2 drive air impact to drive the unit. I was able to tunnel under the walk way and the Wife was happy.
I know many of you have done things to make life more simple.
