I bought some 5/16 fuel line from a vendor ( rubber KV stamp). When applying the clamp it is still loose. Is their anyone else that has had this problem??
I use worm clamps and make sure it is positioned over the metal piece you are clamping to, otherwise it will leak.
The correct installation tool will keep the center crimp from bulging up like your pic...Making a tight, concentric seal in the process..Here's a pic of a properly crimped keystone clamp note the flat crimp..Don't feel bad everyone has tried using whatever pliers they have laying around to get it done..Some get lucky and some don't....

Is there a slightly smaller clamp size that will help ?
Location of the clamp to the inside of the serration is important seems .

looks like an improper crimp tool to me, start there. I prefer the style that keeps the top of the flange flat.
