Title: Trim Paint questions
Post by: tparker on August 22, 2018, 02:56:51 PM
I am about ready to paint various trim pieces and thought I'd check to see if anyone had thoughts on the paint type to use. I'm painting the black trim around the chrome on the rear tail lights and perhaps other similar pieces. Also the rear finish panel and front grill.

I checked out totallyauto and they have to paints of interest. One is a black argent and the other a satin black. After trying to find satin black for my dash and steering wheel I found out it's difficult to get. Argh. Any ways, they have it and was preparing to throw down the big bucks. Their paint aint cheap. But I have no idea which to get or which would be better for one application or the other.

Any thoughts?
Tom

SEM trim black. Any good parts store should carry it. :alan2cents:

SEM trim black is good stuff. You can get it in aerosol or for the gun.  :alan2cents:

Cool, so no need for satin black or argent. Saves me enough for a six pack to get through the painting process.
