Title: 1970 Challenger SE dome light question?

Can anyone tell me if the switch end of the dome light should point to the front or rear. I have seen them installed both ways?

To the rear..... To be honest... I'd never thought about it, just remembered how mine was since the mid 70's & how my uncle's was when new.... When you posted the question I went & tracked down a picture on the internet of the switch to the front... Definitely wrong.....
