No pressure, just a small favor from this sites creator. Could you post pics of your E-body nest Cuda Cody? I have only seen glimpses of them and I want to verify the legend is real.
...And also, how many do you own??
Talk about cracking open Fort Knox!!!
I didn't know about the private part. No pressure whatsoever. Just wanted to see inside Fort Knox.
I think Cody owns them all, unless by slight chance you happen to have one sitting in your shop/garage/yard. :haha: :haha:
I'm fine sharing some photos of what's in my shop. My collection (hard to label it that) is more a "right to built" dream right now. I sold a lot of stuff (cars and many other things) to come up with the money to do it. And then took almost 3 years off from working on cars to build the new shop. The goal was to do it myself with my own hands without having to get a loan.
Now it's all done and I'm back to working on cars. :veryexcited: Hope to have a couple more E-Bodies on the road this summer. :) There's about 12 E-Bodies here now. I'll post some more photos of the shop when I get home.
Great picture! U almost cropped ur dads old bronco out completely :pokeeye:
:takealook:  :wowzers: :looney: :crying:
someone likes TAs ;) that is a great looking room of love right there. any chance to maybe have a monthy feature on one? I'd love to hear more about them too
Nice collection of toys Cody... :bigthumb: If you're not a restoration expert yet you will be when you're finished with all those..... I'll show my age and tell you all us kids around the neighborhood had those schwinn stingrays when they were new {I had the orange crate}...We made sure we each got a different color so it was easy to tell them apart... Who would have thought they'd be as collectible as they are now....
Nice! 12 e-bodies, I wish I had all that space.
Wow, great place!!! :woohoo:
I think i could install my bed between two of them... :drooling:
:perfect10: :congrats: on the shop. Yes, another vote for a car a month...There is 12=1 year....So that's a full 1 year subscription. The thread could be something like "12 cars in 12 months"
Or maybe "12 e-bodies of Cody". Ripped from a popular Christmas tune
We are really on to something here
 I'm thinking the two 71 Cudas look pretty much out of place with all those Challengers  :bigmoney:
WOW! :perfect10: I'd like to someday come visit your amazing collection if I'm ever up there!
I'm moving in! Awesome! :worship:

Wow Cody! I don't even know what to say... :Thud:
you need to see all of the pitures 3 stories with a theater etc just mind blowing
Beautiful collection and garage!
Over on FCBO we have what's called the "you suck" list. On this site, if we had the same list, you'd be at the top. :bigthumb:

Just beautiful. Cody must work about 30 hours a day I'm sure. Just keeping things clean and in order is a major job itself.

That's is a consideration for sure. I'm looking into building a shop hopefully this summer. It's not just how big can I afford to build but also how much will it cost to maintain. Thinking heat , electricity etc....
Time and Money to "maintain" a building was a big part of the design. We wanted something that would not take much to keep up.
I'm so happy my father got to see it all done before he passed away. It was one of the last big projects we worked on together.

Cody...I concur with all posted comments. Beautiful building, beautiful cars, beautiful bicycles...on and on. Great job and you obviously have taste. Like I said before...you should have your own tv show to pay for it all. I think you would do very well.
Thank you everyone for the kind words. :thankyou:

Hmmmm tv show
look out !!!
Built the shop out of old recycled signs too. Had to get special permission from the county, but after looking at the specification of the MDO Sign Plywood (BCX) they concluded it was about 5 times strong then CDX which is the minimum code you can build with.
Saved a lot of money using old sign boards! :D Then used the extra money to over build the shop. 12" On Center studs without 12' of a corner, double / triple King & Trimmer Studs, doubled up every other stud on non load bearing walls, and double studded all load bearing walls. Over-sized the glulams too.
Love it. A fully capable garage / shop. Sweat equity plus your Dad got to help you.. Too cool :bradsthumb:
Job well done Cody, so happy your father was with you to see it done. I too like to do things myself, I built my shop but it is not as nice as yours. But due to county code it is as big as I could make it.
Thanks for sharing Cody. Looks great, a guy could spend hours there!

But due to county code it is as big as I could make it.
They just suck all the fun outta life don't they! :) I have the same issues here..... :pullinghair:
You just have to be creative Brad. Wendall Clarke, former Toronto Maple Leaf captain live in Vaughn. He wanted to build a small arena so he could have his own ice surface. The municipality wouldn't go for it but they let him put up a horse barn and riding arena. I'll give you one guess at what's in the riding arena.
I have already posted one time on this, but I was looking at the structure again, and it just wows me. That is the Taj Mahal of shops. My uncle always told me if you over build you never have to worry about it. So true. Oh yea cars not bad either, JOKE
So if you cannot go bigger go down , go 3 levels underground with a lift !!
Hey Brad, if you do build that garage and could use a hand from a broken down old fart, just let me know buddy! :bigthumb:
Cuda Cody you have 3 T/A's :wowzers: Do you have any pics of the plum crazy T/A? Which one is your fav?
The Purple T/A has not been on the road in decades. I'm finishing the engine on it next week and Brewers went through the transmission on it. Just making it a fun driver for now. Here's what it looks like. Nice solid T/A (yes I fixed that gloss hood and painted it organosol) :D
As for favorite? I like them all! Running or not, projects or show cars, I haven't seen an E-Body that doesn't get me excited.

I love the condition of that car. It's not rough and you can still drive it all over and truly enjoy it without worrying about a rock chip.
Is the plum crazy T/A for sale???
:sorry: not right now. I' looked for a long time to find a clean rust free numbers matching 4 speed Purple T/A. Just got it last summer so want to enjoy it a bit this summer.
Towing it on the trailer I think I got thumbs up and smiles per mile then any other car I've hauled. Something about that FC7 that makes people happy! :D

absolutely beautiful TA. there is something super sexy about a TA, the N94 hood and ducktail spoiler goes extremely well on a Challenger
In the trunk! :drunk: The previous owner took it off. It will be going back on. :bradsthumb:

Very nice.
Here's some photos of the shop build. Much like building an E-Body, building a shop is very rewarding. Some great memories and something that I will be proud of for the rest of my life. Could not have done it without the support of my family, friends, and most of all my Wife

Very Nice, job well done
That's very nice! We're still finishing our garage/horse barn that we started in November. Our theater room and game room will be in the basement of the house. We've done a lot of the work ourselves but we hired a couple of local Mennonite companies to do the major work. Here's a recent shot of mine.

Looks like a great AAR!! Love the color too. :inlove:
You got a nice list of rare cars. What's your favorite Z car?
I feel so....inadequate.

Thanks! I had two AAR projects and sold both but kept getting calls from an old ad that I couldn't delete so I had to buy another one. We picked this one up in a snowstorm on Valentine's Day 2 years ago. I replaced the driver's floor and left rear floor. I also made the frame rail under the left rear seat. I rebuilt the carbs and it runs and sounds great! I won't ever sell this one!
The 72 turbo 240Z was my daily driver for years but my favorite would be the race car. It starts right up and runs great. Yeah, the ride is a little bumpy but I love it!
Chuck
Couple of Awesome Man Mahals there guys - well done!
This is the kind of wall Trump needs to build! :veryexcited: "The Great Wall of Sound"
:perfect10:
Wow. When in Rome.
I would not sell that one that would be my fav C7 TA :stop: :veryexcited:
That shop amazes me every time I see it.
I was reading through the thread and just waiting for you to post pics of it. The car collection is nice, but that garage is amazing!
Congrats on completing it...that fact that you built it is truly impressive. So when is the party!
Jason
One of the really nice features of this website is the "similar topics" list that appears at the bottom of the page. It's a great route to let folks like me find stuff or get reacquainted - it brought me to this thread which I had not seen before since it ran its course before I joined. While I don't post every day, I do read a lot of what's written here through looking a couple of times a day. I saw the build of Cody's shop in the other forum but completely enjoyed the tour again. Absolutely first rate work. As I've found finishing a bathroom basement a challenge, the scope and scale of what he and his "crew" accomplished is awe inspiring.
And the good news is that all of the people that joined since March who see this post in the "unread topic" list will get to have their chins dropped like everyone else has.
Simply amazing with the amount of space and top end finishes. Especially doing all that work by yourself. There is no way I will be able to carrying that beam like Cody.
Thank you for posting those pics, Cody. It shows that our beautiful e-bodies will be around for many years to come.
Definitely the nicest outbuilding I have ever seen and since I am in the real estate business . . . I see a few. :worship:
That is a FANTASTIC garage and E body collection! Great job Cody!
Most impressive build on the site :worship:
I'm racking my brain over trying to extend my screened in porch and close it in...
Still waiting for Cody to announce the west coast MoPar-ty at his Mopar-Taj-Mahal ... it could become the second coming of Carlisle for the west coasters!! Just got to do the Costner in Field of Dreams ... "if you build it (and you did) they will come (and we will!)" ... just need the date!!
Cody,
I am speechless. That is beyond my wildest dreams. That is bigger than some cities I have been in. That MDO board is very strong and heavy and expensive. A 4'x8' piece finished in white on both sides run $ 95.00 a pop here in SC. Your car collection is awesome and the garage if that is what you could call it is just amazing and building yourself with the help of your family just makes it even more in creditable.
Would love to see you do a feature on some of your cars.

Awesome shop and collection. :wowzers:
Cody
Wow, that is some car building you created.
You could start a Mopar Museum in that place, complete with a food court and cinema area showing car related videos.
Awesome and best wishes on enjoying the new car palace!
