Title: Installed Trunk Seal 1974 Cuda
Post by: steelcuda on November 03, 2018, 08:06:43 PM
I'm just proud to say that I successfully installed a new trunk seal today in my 1974 Cuda. Took about 4hrs and a lot of waiting. Turned out great!

Congratulations. I replaced the deck lid seal during the summer. The lid would not sit flush at first. Placed about 100 pounds of olympic weights around the edge of the lid and parked it in the sun. After a few days, the seal flattened enough and turned out nice.

So the trunk light was there when I bought it. I've never seen one like that on a Cuda.  It seems to be wired to a switch near the trunk lock.  It either needs a new bulb or doesn't work.

It actually sits completely flush except for the back left corner, which is only very slightly raised. I don't think that's the seal. I think that's the lid.
