Title: transmission colour

what does everyone do for a factory look on there transmission? seen some painted others just sandblasted and cleared. also what is done for driveshafts?

I like black driveshafts and cleared tranny's.  Wait, what are we talking about?

  use cast blast paint on manuals , just natural alum on autos & satin black on driveshafts

does the bellhousing get cleared as well on a manual?

technically it is oversprayed with engine color near the engine with the rest left natural , you call , you can leave it all natural or clear it

I didnt think that the factory would have sprayed the motor with the bellhousing on the motor. great info

There are pictures online that show engine blocks in the middle of being assembled.  They already have the bellhousings installed.  I think they were installed pretty early on and machined with the block. 

Torque converters were already on the engine when it was painted as well.
