Title: A-833 casting number ?
Post by: 750-h2 on November 23, 2018, 09:42:48 AM
I have seen casting numbers with H3 and others with H4. Can anyone tell me the difference and what is the meaning of the 3 and 4. I am pretty sure @6bblgt (https://forum.e-bodies.org/mlist/6bblgt_211) would know. Thanks

never noticed the "H3" VS. "H4", maybe an earlier version (does it have a VIN pad?) or a mold number ??  :dunno:

but, the paint stamped "605" is a 1969 B-body 18-spline  what's the partial VIN on it?

Thanks Dan @6bblgt (https://forum.e-bodies.org/mlist/6bblgt_211) . I was looking at an 18 spline with an H3 and a VIN pad. #'s next to impossible to read very rusty . Its suppose to be out of a V code 1970 Runner. I was just wondering about the 4 versus 3. I googled it and couldn't find anything about these #'s.  Looking at A-833 pics on Google the 4 or the 3 do not seem to have anything with the year of the car?
