Title: Aftermarket A/C Condenser Mounting Question
Post by: Daveh on December 22, 2018, 07:53:25 AM
Hey guys,

I bought an aftermarket A/C from Bouchillon Performance and the condenser is different from the original.  For those that have installed one of these aftermarket condensers, does anyone have any pics of how they mounted theirs?  Thanks

I used the biggest condenser I could find (not from any of the big add on ac suppliers, VA or CAA), just a generic "fit all", sold by outside dimensions.  Anyway, I just fabbed up simple "L" shaped brackets. I did place thick rubber washers between the bracket and the lower radiator brace (you can just see the lower passenger side one in the pic) for it to sit on and to absorb some vibration. May not work for you, just "how I did it".

UPDATE - I just got off of the phone with Vintage air and spoke with a super nice guy.  He was very helpful.  The brackets for their kits is a little shorter and wont fit.  My condenser is 16" tall and theirs is only 22"'s tall.  So I guess I'll have to fab something up.  Thanks
