Title: 70 challenger hood pop up spring

Does anything go in between the bottom of the hood and the pop up spring on a 70 challenger rt hood

Not sure what those 2 holes are

Not sure about the holes, never seen anything in them, but here's a few ideas to help prevent the normal damage done by the spring...

Old style 35mm film roll cap will snap on the OEM spring. or buy a JK wrangler hood spring. that comes with a rubber end. pull that off and push that onto the oem spring and pitch the jeep spring. # 55176732AD dealer retail on this spring is $ 6.85

Thanks for your help guys like the idea of the vacum hose wasn't sure if something went on the hood
